TEMECULA VALLEY FAMILY FAIR OFFERS FUN FOR EVERYONE
Temecula Valley Family Fair runs March 27-29 with concerts, rides,
exhibits, competitions, and so much more
February 20, 2015, Temecula, CA –
Temecula Valley Family Fair gates open March 27, 2015 at Lake Skinner Recreational
Park, 37701 Warren Road, Winchester, CA, just outside of Temecula Valley Wine

“The weekend will be full of
thrilling rides, activities and headline entertainment. This county style fair
will have 20-plus rides, food, local performances and live entertainment,”
states Event Coordinator, Shannon Karrigan. “Bring your family and start a new
tradition.”
Headline country music singer Randy
Houser with special guest Tommy Dalton take the main stage on Friday, March 27;
the preshow starts at 5:30pm with Houser on at 7:30pm. Houser’s top hits
include “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” How Country Feels,” and “Like A Cowboy.”
Rising star singer Becky G will perform her some of her hits like “Shower” and
Can’t Stop Dancin’” on Saturday, March 28, at 7:45pm. Concert ticket prices are
$32.50 per person; and include entrance into the fair. On Sunday, the Peter
Furler Band will play a free concert at 6pm on the main stage.
There will be Fair competitions for
all ages all weekend long. Competition categories are: Arts & Crafts,
Photography, Junior Competitions, and Good Old Fair Fun. “Sew a Square” competition awards ribbons and
prizes to contest winners with the most squares, most colorful square and most
unique square. After the contest all the squares will be sewn into blankets to warm

The “Sock Monkey” competition is
open to all ages, categories are up to 13 years old, 14-18 years old, and 19
years and older. All entries have an opportunity to win a prize donated by
Needle in a Fabric Stash. Bring your sock monkey to the fair on Friday, March
27 between 12pm-1pm and receive a complimentary fair admission ticket! See

“Family Hand Print Art” is a
competition using an outline or print of two or more hands of your family
members. Embellish handprints or hand outlines in any way and theme your entry
to depict your family’s hobbies or traditions. There will be ribbons and awards

“Up, Up & Away” Hot Air Balloon
Contest celebrates the tradition of hot air balloons in the Temecula Valley,
sponsored by Magical Adventure Balloon Rides and Helicopter Tours. All entries
will be one display in the Exhibit Pavilion at the fair. Find suggestions and

There are two photography
competitions: “Capture Fair Traditions” and “Make Memories.” “Capture Fair
Traditions” is for digital photography equipment only. The competition is at

“Make Memories” is about sharing your creativity at the fair with mobilography,
mobile phones, pocket personal computers, iPads, etc. The contest open to ages 9 years old and up.

Junior Competitions are Photography,
Family Hand Print Art, Girl Scout Troop Competition, Lego Competition, Read
& Wine at the Fair, Sock Monkey’s, Up, Up & Away. In addition to those
mentioned above is the Girl Scout Troop Competition, which is an inspirational
message poster. Girls may enter as a troop or individual. More information is

Another competition is with Legos. The Lego Bricks Competition is sponsored by
Temecula/Murrieta Bricks for Kidz. This competition is open to kids ages 5-12.
Entries use their own Lego bricks and elements to build an original creation at

A popular competition is “Read & Win,” open to children ages 6-12. Children
read 10 books and fill out the reading record form found online. All children
who return their completed forms between now and March 14 will receive an
admission ticket to the fair for Sunday, March 29

It just wouldn’t be a fair with the
“Mustache & Beard Competition.” Categories are Best Natural, Best Styled,
Most Unique/Craziest/Creative, and Most Hair. This is a ribbon winning contest

Exhibitors and vendors are still
welcome. If you are a local group, hobby, society or club, you can be an
exhibitor. The fair theme is “Let’s Start a New Tradition.” Exhibitors provide

The fair is still accepting vendors, however some categories are filled. Three

There’s something for
thrill-seekers or those looking for spectacular views. Temecula Valley Family
Fair offers rides from kiddie-size to larger than life, and rides the family
can enjoy together. Tickets must be purchased to go on rides. The number of
tickets needed per ride varies; the cost of a ticket is $1.00. Ride-goers can
also purchase a $30 unlimited ride wristband valid for one person for one day,
available at the ticket booth. Some of the rides you can expect to see are:
Giant Wheel, Super Shot (Drop Tower), Zipper, Bumper Cars, Kite Flyer,
Tilt-a-Whirl, Swings, Clown Town Fun House, Dizzy Dragon, Tug Boat, Go Gator
Coaster, Red Barron Jets, Carousel, Fun Slide, and more.
In addition to carnival rides,
games, competitions and concerts, there will be a petting zoo, roaming Disney
princesses Anna and Elsa, face painting, Easter Bunny visits, Wild West Turkey
Stampede, Exotic/Classic Car Show, Hypnotist, Jumper Land, local performance
stage.
Celebrate the Opening Day Ceremony
on Friday, March 27 from 12pm-1pm. The public will receive half off the
admission price from 12pm-1pm. Arrive early to avoid long lines. There will be
a community flag salute with the National Anthem. Special recognitions and a
ribbon cutting will follow. The Bourbon Street Jazz Band will be there to
welcome everyone. Other promotions include Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March
29 10am-11am Early Bird Discount, general admission tickets are 25% off.
Sunday, March 29th from 10am-12pm is Special Needs & Senior
Sunday, there will be free admission to special needs citizens and seniors 60
years and older.
Temecula Valley Family Fair is a
three day event, hours are Friday, March 27 from 12pm-9pm, Saturday, March 28
from 10am-9pm, Sunday, March 29 from 10am-8pm. Admission prices are: 3-Day Pass
purchased on or before March 12 is $25, purchased after March 12 is $30. Single
day admission price is $12.50 (ages 13-59); $10 (military*/senior* – 60+); $6
